House League late registration starts April 1st (late fees apply) Requests will not be taken online for team placement in House League as of April 1st
As of April 1, there are very few spaces left in House League:
The Rangers Soccer Club is pleased to offer non-competitive House League programs for children from the
age of two through nine. House League, in general, is based upon the philosophy that fun is first and foremost. It is the goal of the program to instill a love for the game of soccer into the players, as well as confidence and good sportsmanship. Each session consists of half the time being a practice with volunteer coaches and then the other half being a game with another team in the same age Group.
|
The Rangers House League Program is based on a curriculum that emphasizes player development, agility, and building confidence. A specific curriculum is written for each age group by Tony Valente, a member of our PDP staff who has worked extensively with young children. Full curriculum guides are provided to all House League coaches at the start of the season.
We also incorporate the Alberta Soccer Association Guidelines for House League Programs. |

What's Included?
All House League Age Groups receive an individual player and team photograph, a unique team jersey, shorts, socks and a commemorative medal at the end of the season.
Important Registration Dates
Teams are created with efforts made to balance years of birth and gender. We will attempt to ensure that requests for team placement are met, however no guarantees can be made. All requests for team placement must be made by April 1 2010. After this point, as teams will be made, we cannot accommodate any further requests for team placement, and all registering players will be placed where there is room.
We anticipate starting Outdoor 2010 House League at the end of April and ending in the last week of June. However, this, and the dates and times listed for age groups below are tentative, and may change due to program registration numbers, weather conditions, and field availability.
Why Rangers?
There are several reasons Rangers House League Program is unique to any other in our communities.
Program times are longer then most other House Leagues. U4/U6 Programs run 1.25 hours weekly while U8/U10 Programs run 3 hours weekly. U10 players have the opportunity to use additional training time, should the team desire.
Our Coaches receive training. Our coaches partake in training held by our Technical Staff, who are seasoned experts in working with, and developing children of such young ages.
Experience. We have two decades experience running a House League Program. The Rangers Soccer Club was founded as a House League program, and has grown from this base.
Development opportunity. All players have the opportunity to partake in Soccer Development Sundays, sessions that are lead by our PDP staff for House League Players. Sessions focus on individual and team tactics with the ball.
Everything you need this season. We include a player jersey, shorts and socks (which you keep), a team and individual picture and a medal at the end of the season with your registration fee. All you need is your child, and shin pads and appropriate footwear (outdoor running shoes are recommended, special soccer shoes and cleats NOT required or encouraged, cleats with spikes NOT permitted)
