When does House League start/end? We anticipate starting Outdoor 2010 House League at the end of April and ending in the last week of June. However, this, and the dates and times listed for age groups below are tentative, and may change due to program registration numbers, weather conditions, and field availability.
Do you accommodate requests to play with friends, coaches, specific time-frames or on specific fields? Yes, we will make every effort to accommodate you in those requests. Teams are created with efforts made to balance years of birth and gender. We will attempt to ensure that requests for team placement are met, however no guarantees can be made. All requests for team placement must be made by April 1 2010. After this point, as teams will be made, we cannot accommodate any further requests for team placement, and all registering players will be placed where there is room. Requests that are made before the deadline have a 99% chance of being accommodated.
How is your program different from any other program in the community? With over 20 years of experience, our program is very well developed, and differs greatly from other organizations. Here are a few reasons why:
• More time on the field. Program times are longer then most other House Leagues. U4/U6 Programs run 1.25 hours weekly while U8/U10 Programs run 3 hours weekly. U10 players have the opportunity to use additional training time, should the team desire.
• Our Coaches receive training. Our coaches partake in training held by our Technical Staff, who are seasoned experts in working with, and developing children of such young ages.
• Experience. We have two decades experience running a House League Program. The Rangers Soccer Club was founded as a House League program, and has grown from this base.
• Development opportunity. All players have the opportunity to partake in Soccer Development Sundays, sessions that are lead by our PDP staff for House League Players. Sessions focus on individual and team tactics with the ball.
• Everything you need this season. We include a player jersey, shorts and socks (which you keep), a team and individual picture and a medal at the end of the season with your registration fee. All you need is your child, and shin pads and suitable shoes (outdoor running shoes are recommended, special soccer shoes and cleats NOT required or encouraged, cleats with spikes NOT permitted).
What is included with my registration fee? Included in your registration fee, apart from placement on a team with coaches, and the time on the field is an individual player and team photograph, a unique team jersey (not just a t-shirt), shorts, socks and a commemorative medal at the end of the season.
How do your fees compare with other programs? Our fees are very competitive when you look at the total cost of programs. Although other program's baseline fees may be slightly lower, be sure research the full cost of participation. Many other leagues include extra fees such as community memberships, that you must pay for in order to register.
Do you separate by gender? In U6 and U8 we will separate teams by gender, assuming that our registration numbers are able to permit that. Teams may play other teams of the opposite gender. U10 is completely separated by gender.
